The majority of procedures, consultations, and services carried out at this surgery are paid for by the NHS. However, some services, such as the completion of some medical reports and forms, are chargeable as they do not fall under the terms of service of the NHS Standard Contract.
Our priority is NHS work. Non-NHS work is charged in line with British Medical Association (BMA) Guidelines.
Most frequently requested non-NHS services include:
- Certificates, Forms, and Letters:
- Private Insurance forms
- HGV license forms
- Holiday cancellation forms & medical reports
- Fitness to travel certificates
- To whom it may concern letter
- Private prescriptions
Please note that GPs are not obliged to do any of the above work; it will always take second place in their clinical work. Payment is due before any documentation is completed. Our fees for these services are displayed in the surgery. However, you will be notified of the charge before completion if requested. Private work can take up to 21 days to complete, in line with the BMA approved national guidelines.
