Home Visits
We are fortunate to have a dedicated Paramedic Home Visit Service that can conduct home visits for housebound and more vulnerable patients.
We ask you to call before 11.30 am to arrange this so that we can assess the need for a visit on the same day. However, this is at the doctor’s discretion, and they will assess your situation over the telephone and advise you appropriately.
Annual Review Appointments
If you are on repeat medications, you should expect to be contacted for a review around your birthday month every year.
You may be offered a health check, including blood tests, a specialist nurse review of your long-term conditions, a medication review by a pharmacist or doctor, and a complex care review if you have specific needs. During this review period, you may delay accessing your medication until it has been reviewed and re-authorised for another year. Attending your appointments when requested will speed up this process and avoid delays.
Contraception
Several options are available, and we aim to find the safest and most effective type for you.
We can prescribe pills and arrange appointments for contraceptive injections or implants. If you wish to have a coil please get in touch with the sexual health clinic on 0300 0200027.
Emergency Contraception
The Practice offers emergency contraception, which can be taken up to 72 hours after having unprotected sexual intercourse.
