Blood Tests

close-up image of someone having their blood taken by a medical professional What is a blood test?

A blood test is taking a blood sample for laboratory testing.

Blood tests have many uses and are among the most common medical tests.

For example, a blood test can be used to:

  • assess your general state of health
  • confirm the presence of a bacterial or viral infection
  • see how well specific organs, such as the liver and kidneys, are functioning
  • screen for specific genetic conditions such as cystic fibrosis.

Most blood tests only take a few minutes to complete and can be booked at various pharmacies and clinics.  Please use the link below to book your appointment.  Don't forget to take your form with you!
